Course Details

• Duration: The course spans 3 days, allowing you ample time to absorb the material and practice your skills.

• Prerequisites:

• Minimum age 16.

• Required certificates, First aid certificate, RYA Powerboat Level 2, Health declaration form or medical questionnaire.

• Experience, Five seasons experience of power boating logged (preferably in range of boat types and sizes) OR one season for those who use powerboats as an integral part of their normal full-time occupation.

• Pre-entry assessment Candidates must attend a skills assessment prior to their instructor training course. Details can be found in the RYA Power Schemes Instructor Handbook (G19) A pre Entry assessment can be done at any RYA centre we charge £115 if you want to do this with us.

• RYA membership Required.

• Course Content:

  • RYA Theory: Dive into essential theoretical knowledge related to boating and instruction.

  • Practical Skills: Learn hands-on techniques for teaching powerboating.

What’s Included?

• RYA Certification: Successful candidates will receive RYA certificates upon meeting the required standards. Qualified to teach Up to and including Powerboat Level 2 under the supervision of the Principal or Chief Instructor. If you hold the Safety Boat Certificate, you may also teach the RYA Safety Boat Course. Validity Five years from date of issue, provided that a valid first aid certificate is maintained RYA

• RIB Fuel Costs: We cover the fuel costs for the RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) used during the course.

• Loan of Waterproofs: Don’t worry about getting wet—we’ve got you covered!.
